About Cinnamon:

Cinnamon sticks are from the bark of the cinnamon tree and the popular types of cinnamon are from Malabar coast, Ceylon and Burma. It’s used in our traditional medicines and complements both sweet and salty dishes. The most valuable spice during the East India Company trade.

Uses:

1. When applied to the scalp, cinnamon increases circulationto the hair follicles and encourages the growth of new strands.
2. Ancient times, oil extracted from cinnamon- eugenol, has been used as a local anaesthetic and antiseptic by dentists.
3. A pinch of cinnamon powder along with a tea-spoon of honey in a warm water works wonders in keeping your common cold, flue at bay.
4. Few bits of cinnamon sticks in your cupboard, prevents the moisture and moths.
